What I liked about the book

Zack the zombie had a promise. That promise was to take Wesley to the park. Zack and Wesley walked to the park. Wesley started to play. When Zack was looking for a spot to sit, he saw the PERFECT SPOT the sandpit. As he sat down, he felt like he was falling. When Zack opened his eyes, he was at a DESERT BIOME but how? Zack saw a magic gold pot. Zack ran to it.  Zack touched 3 times and a purple figure came out! The figure said he could grant him 3 wishes. Zack thought with his pea sized brain.

 Zack said I want to have a food fight with my friends at the arcade! The purple figure said my name is Gerald. Then Gerald said, “your wish is my command”. Zack saw some booger shakes and booger flakes! When his friends entered the room they said, “FOOD FIGHT!” I thought that was funny because who names food booger shakes?

Zack thought of another wish. But then he saw something in front of him. It was MOBS! Zack tried to hide behind the crates. He soon fell asleep. But at that moment something touched his back! She said, “I’m Saranda. You shouldn’t have touched that pot.” She told him how Gerald was evil and wanted to rule sand biome. Saranda said, “Did you touch the pot 3 times?” Zack said, “yes”.

Zack told her all of what happened and she said, “use this spell on him, I wish that you Gerald the genie, will be trapped in the magic pot forever. You cannot come out even if someone touches the pot 3 times. Your magical powers are lost forever if you are stuck in the pot.” I liked that because they are using magic wishes against evil!

The Midnight Gang

What I liked about the book

Tom was hit by a tennis ball. He was rushed to the hospital. The doctors checked his skull and found no damage. Then he was sent to the children’s ward for better treatment. 

Tom made new friends in the ward. One midnight, his friends said to come to the basement. They told him about a trial lesson for midnight Gang. The midnight Gang make children’s wishes come true. I liked that because they are making little children’s wishes come true.

Amber, one of the members of the midnight Gang wanted her wish to come true. Her wish is to be the first to reach the North and South pole. She told her wishes to the Gang. The Gang helped her crush some ice to make snow in the freezer and made a paper flag. Then, they let Amber place the flag in the snow. Amber was happy that her wish got fulfilled. I liked this because they used creativity.

What I liked about the book

I liked when Eric, Sidney and Getrude went parachuting. Getrude was very scared and did the biggest raspberry (fart) ever. When they were landing, Erice fell on Getrude and Sidney fell on Eric. I thought that was funny because they fell on each other.

I also liked when Getrude the gorilla escaped the Zoo cage and went on the roads of London. Meanwhile, the firing bombers where still exploding. 

Eric said, “I think we need to catch Gertude now.”  

When they saw Getrude, they found him snaking free ice cream from the local store. I thought that was funny because gorillas don’t eat ice cream.

I also liked when the trio got to have a party. They had it at the royals. When they had all the animals come in, the sisters of the queen said, “Can we have a gorilla for Christmas please?”

But their mom said no. They started to get mad and threw cake at their mom. Then it turned into a food fight. I thought that was funny because even the royals got into a food fight.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Cabin Fever

What I liked about the book

I liked when Gregs school set up a billboard. It said keep the town park clean. When a person needs a clean back yard, the school makes the children do it. But usually, the children don’t have the cleaning things and end up making it even more messed up. Like when a woman asked for someone to clean her garden the children just messed it up. I think that was funny because instead of fixing the mess they made it worse.

I also liked when Gregs school set up a nut free zone. In the nut free one no one was sitting there. It was all empty but one day a kid named Albert misunderstood. He thought that it meant that we could eat nuts there. He then sat there and ate his peanut butter sandwich while all of us were stuffed together. I thought that was funny because he thought nut free meant you could eat nuts there.

What I liked about the book

I liked the Toiletrollasaurus. The Toiletrollasaurus had to run away from other bumosaurus. They needed to do that because they don’t want to be used as clean toilet paper. They run like a very slow snail on the road. I thought that was funny because they must run to not get used as toilet paper. 

I also liked the Tricerabutts because they have big horns. But their problem was that when hunting, their horns get stuck in the ground. When mating a little kiss can be fatal! They need to be careful, or they could die with their horns. I thought it was funny because the horns just are useless! 

I liked the deep-sea bum dangler. I liked it because it used its dangling bum to catch prey. They also got hypnotized by their own body and ate their butt. When they hypnotize their prey, the prey aims for it, and the bum dangler punches the prey with it. I thought it was funny because it eats its own butt.

What I liked about the book

I liked when Terry made this special book making machine. He said it would write the book itself. Andy asked, “what are those robotic hands for?”.  “Well,” said Terry, “the hands can draw the pictures and write down the words”. As Terry programmed it said the book would be ready in 8 hours.

After 8 hours, Terry, Andy, and Jill who were still outside, came back in the treehouse. They got slapped by the machine which was meant to write the book.  It was funny because the machine which was supposed to write the book slapped the humans instead.

I also liked when Terry told Andy about professor Stupid Head. Terry said that he could un-invent lots of things which was annoying professor Stupid Head. Andy said, “oh my wow… impressive… he must have a good life now!” Professor Stupid Head came and said, “oh I declare all this treehouse is a big hot cross bun”. Their wonderful treehouse disappears.

Do I recommend this book to others?

What I liked about the book

There are lots of mini stories in this book. However, I like to share the following four short stories.

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Mary. She owned a bad lamb, actually a VERY bad lamb. The lamb wore her special bikini, ate all the mangos and even worse screamed a lot. But one day the very bad lamb came with her to school and did some things that made children laugh. Then Mary got mad. She easily killed her very own lamb! After that she and the children had a feast and they ate just like a beast.

Once in a hot summer day a little boy said “mummy, Can I ride out hamster? Please”. His mum said, “no I don’t think that’s a good idea.” “Please” said the boy. His mom said, “fine only for one minute.” The boy said “yay!!!!”. He rode it and rode and shouted, “go faster go faster!”. After 30 seconds he said, “mommy why is hamster as flat as a pancake?”. Mum said, “I knew this would happen. You squished him to smithereens”. “Oh, sorry mum,” said the boy.

Once there was a boy who said, “Hey mum can I eat this dead fly?”  “No” said his mom “you could get sick or get rabies”. “OK” said the boy but as expected he didn’t listen. He tried one dead fly and said, “nothing happens”. As he started to eat more, he said, “oh I don’t feel well” and he died right on the spot. His mum said, “oh I knew he wouldn’t listen.

In a cold place during winter, there was lots and hundreds watching the news.  Everybody screamed when they heard about the blood sucking grannies. The police declared, “send firing nukes”, but it did not effect. So, he said “fire the flying potatoes”. But then a little boy said “noooo that’s my grannie”. The police said, “Well she’s dangerous as a knife. Little boy we got to do it”. The little boy said, “fine” while sobbing. 

Do I recommend this book to others?

Diary of a Wimpy Kid – Rodrick Rules

What I liked about the book

I liked that when Greg was forced to go to his swimming club on a day off. He told his mum that it was a day off, but she said there was a swimming carnival. When Greg got there, all he saw was people in the pool swimming 2 meters deep.

When the carnival was over, Greg thought the prize was meant to be in order but instead everyone got first place. When the Heffley’s (Gregs family) went home Greg accused Susan of lying there was a carnival. Greg said it was just something to make kids happy.

I also liked when Greg had a play date with his friend Rowley at the summer beach house. But when they were about to go, they looked in Rodricks junk place and they found a picture of him with a hot girl. When we got to the beach, I did not have my parents, so I tried getting Rowely on a roller coaster. After that I felt dizzy while I realised Rowely didn’t come but got a shirt called I Survived THE EXTRME – A- COASTER. I thought it was unfair while he was trying to not vomit.

 

Do I recommend this book to others?

     Yes, I do because it is funny and interesting.
